The Untamed (Chinese: 陈情令; pinyin: Chén Qíng Lìng) is a 2019 Chinese television series adapted from the danmei novel Mo Dao Zu Shi by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu, starring Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo.[1] It follows the adventures of two soulmate cultivators who travel to solve a series of mysteries that link to a tragic event in the past.[2]

The series aired in China on Tencent Video from 27 June to 20 August 2019 culminating with fifty episodes.[3][4]

The series is contained within multiple media pieces which began as a manga first serialized in the manga magazine Wings starting in 2002. After the first manga series ended, a sequel entitled Princess Princess + started serialization in the same magazine in May 2006, and finished in January 2007. An anime has since been adapted from the manga and began airing in Japan on April 5, 2006, produced by the Japanese animation studio, Studio Deen. A live action adaptation called Princess Princess D aired in Japan from June 28, 2006 to September 13, 2006. Finally, a visual novel video game for the PlayStation 2 based on the series was released on October 26, 2006 in Japan.

It is about a successful South Korean businesswoman and chaebol heiress who, while paragliding near Seoul, South Korea, is swept up in a sudden storm, crash-lands in the North Korean portion of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), and meets an army captain in the Korean People’s Army who decides he will help her hide. Over time, they fall in love, despite the divide and dispute between their respective countries.

86 is an anime series based on the light novel series of the same name written by Asato Asato and illustrated by Shirabii. The series adaptation was announced in a livestream commemorating the first anniversary of Kadokawa‘s “Kimirano” light novel website on March 15, 2020.[1] It is produced by A-1 Pictures and directed by Toshimasa Ishii, with Toshiya Ōno writing the scripts, Tetsuya Kawakami designing the characters, and Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto composing the music. The CG is developed by Shirogumi.

The series was originally scheduled to air in 2020, but it was indefinitely delayed.[2] The series is a split-cour anime, with the first half airing on Tokyo MX and other stations from April 11 to June 20, 2021.[3][4][a] On March 28, 2021, Tokyo MX broadcast a special program commemorating the start of the series starring main cast Shōya Chiba and Ikumi Hasegawa, producer Nobuhiro Nakayama and music composer Hiroyuki Sawano.[5] The second half aired from October 3, 2021 to March 19, 2022.[6] The first opening theme is “3-bun 29-byō” (lit. 3 minutes 29 seconds) by Hitorie, while the first ending theme is “Avid” by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:mizuki and the second theme is “Hands Up to the Sky” by SawanoHiroyuki[nZk]:Laco.[7][8] The second opening theme is “Kyōkaisen” (lit. Chobits (Japanese: ちょびっツ, Hepburn: Chobittsu) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by the Japanese manga collective Clamp. It was published by Kodansha in Weekly Young Magazine from the 43rd issue for 2000 to the 48th issue for 2002 and collected in eight bound volumes. Chobits was adapted as a 26-episode-long anime television series broadcast on TBS from April to September 2002. In addition, it has spawned two video games as well as various merchandise such as figurines, collectable cards, calendars, and artbooks.

The series tells the story of Hideki Motosuwa, a college student who finds an abandoned persocom (パソコン, PasoKon), or personal computer (パーソナルコンピュータ pāsonaru konpyūta) with an anthro-human form, which he names “Chi” after the only word it initially can speak. As the series progresses, they explore the mysteries of Chi’s origin together and questions about the relationship between human beings and computers.

Get Smart is an American comedy television series, parodying the secret agent genre that had become widely popular in the first half of the 1960s with the release of James Bond films. It was created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry, and had its television premiere on NBC on September 18, 1965. It stars Don Adams (who was also a director on the series) as agent Maxwell Smart (Agent 86), Barbara Feldon as Agent 99, and Edward Platt as The Chief. Henry said that they created the show at the request of Daniel Melnick[1] to capitalize on James Bond and Inspector Clouseau, “the two biggest things in the entertainment world today”.[2] Brooks described it as “an insane combination of James Bond and Mel Brooks comedy”.[3]

The show switched networks in 1969 to CBS. It ended its five-season run on May 15, 1970, with a total of 138 episodes. The Museum of Broadcast Communications finds the show notable for “broadening the parameters for the presentation of comedy on television”.[7]
